Sozopol

Sozopol is the oldest town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In the list of the 100 national tourist sites, Sozopol is placed under No. 8. The city is divided into an old and a new part. In the Old Town you can stroll along narrow, cobblestone streets and see authentic old houses.

The most visited tourist sights in Sozopol are the Art Gallery, the Archaeological Museum, the ancient necropolises, the Thracian fortresses, the ancient churches "St. Zosim" and "St. Mary". The Church "St.Mary" dates back to the 15th century, which was declared a monument of culture under the protection of UNESCO.
